Stone is landscape jasper. Pendant is made of sterling silver sheet and wires. Chain is simple viking knit.

Ethnic neclaces from last year. Metal parts are silver except Pacistanian coins. Stones are lapis lazuli and carnelia.




Last years trip to Swalbard did give me an inspiration for making jewelry of ice and arctic animals.


So far I have finished polar bear neclace. rough amazonite nuggets are exactly ice colour. Bear is made of raindear antler that I picked up 1989 in Lapland. Polar bears are yellowish as the anler is. Bear is 27mm long.

Sterling silver casted charms of arctic wildlife

Knitting thin silver wires to chain is old craft style. There is some old finds from Viking era silver knits in Finland. One example is Lämsä silver treasure, that was buried to ground in Viking era.
In close shot you can see clearly how wire goes behind second last layers loop. I use nephrite stik inside the knit.


This is first sterling silver jewelry piece that i have made.
