Exhibition will open 3.5. with presentation called: “travelling bird painter”. Exhibition will be there until 8.6. After Oskari this exhibition will move to Kolovesi luontotupa, where it will be until 12.8.2012.

Test your color matching skils

Maria Munuera and Mark Mackay have made a interresting color matching game that you can try in their website. You move balls in edge rim so that colored areas in the center are as same color as possible. You will notice how your eye sees differences in color better in one color than another.

Cherry flovers and Common bluetail

Here are couple of illustrations from yesterday. Dirst is common bluetail damselfly and other Cherry flover that is colored with photoshop.

This tree is supposed to be a bit simplified version of cherry tree silhouet.

Building zoological dioramas

Several readers have asked how Helsinki Zoological museums dioramas were build. There is not enought pictures of those diorama paintings that I made, but museum has made videos of building process of bear diorama. Seppo Polameri does the painting work and museum conservators the rest.
