Lennart Segerstråle exhibition in forest museum Lusto
In forest museum Lusto there is very interesting exhibition of bird and nature graphics and paintings. Works in the exhibition are painted by Lennart Segerståle (1892–1975). Lusto had “Theme Tuesday” of birds where I did give small presentation of bird watching as a hobby. It was great to finally see Segerstråles paintings. He started his art career as a bird painter, but most famous he is as fresco and church artist.
It was also very interesting to see lots of influence of Japonisme in his works.
Exhibition is open until 3.3.2012
New book of working in the scratchboard medium
Diana Lee has wrote a new book of the scratchboard medium. Her style is slightly different than mine since she uses mostly black backgrounds. This book will be useful for those who whant to test this medium and style.
It has been pleasure to watch her style evolving during last five years.

Great grey Owl and wild boar piglet
Newest illustrations. Wild boar piglet will be used in information material of growth and life of Wild boars. Great grey Owl painting will have added vole in its tunnel and this painting will be used with text of Owls senses. It is hard to imagine how detailed hearing “image” they get of nature surrounding them.
